Bags 7 – Light Weight Cotton

I almost didn’t post this as it is similar to previous ones, but there is a nice little story.

We accidentally managed to visit Queen Street Mill in Burnley, the day before it officially closed due to cuts.  It has been open since but not all the time.  I bought a piece of their own cotton, as it was really lovely and soft and yet strong.  Also for old times sake, I’m bit nostalgic like that.

I have had a tote bag in my handbag for many years which I got free on the side of a magazine.  It finally gave up the ghost, so a new one was required.

Finish item.

I overlocked it to save on heavier seams and lining.

It folds up well and looks a bit dishevelled, which is good.

Think the colour may have been a mistake, but time will tell.
